Knowledge is Power
Unity in Diversity is a not-for-profit community based organization with a MISSION to EMPOWER prospective, new arrivals and current USA legal Immigrants through Sharing and Exchange of Information. A lot of helpful information is already processed and placed in public domain by government and other agencies but much more need to be tapped from individuals and groups as they share and exchange their experience at the communities where they belong. Time and/or expertise are known to be limiting factors in the access, sharing and exchange of information. Our goal is to facilitate access and encourage sharing.
We achieve our Mission through commitment to:
- Research, categorize and present, in a professional manner, current internet links that bear information of interest to immigrants;
- Create blogs where prospective and current immigrants can engage in textual “conversations” through which participants can experience social-emotional support as they actively exchange information.
- Publish a monthly e-newsletter on topics of interest to prospective and current immigrants for emotional and peer group support.
- Conduct business with uncompromising Honesty and Integrity though instituting systems and procedures that ensure Accountability and Transparency.
- Work in a team oriented environment where positive spirit, vision, leadership and effective communication are encouraged and rewarded.
